207 Street Road Improvements (Dewdney Trunk Rd to 118 Ave)
The City has been working with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) to design improvements at 207 Street and Lougheed Highway which is a provincially regulated and maintained intersection. The road improvements will address north/south traffic flows, vehicle movements in and out of nearby businesses, and pedestrian and cyclist safety along 207 Street from Dewdney Trunk Road to 118 Avenue with asphalt resurfacing extending south to Westfield Avenue.
The City and its consultant, R.F. Binnie and Associates, have completed a functional design, which received public feedback at an Open House held on June 20, 2017. View the Display Boards and Drawings.
The project is now at the detailed design stage and construction of the proposed road improvements is tentatively scheduled for the spring of 2018.
The work is to be coordinated with road rehabilitation south to Westfield Avenue.
