Working Closely with Community Partners

ONE COMMUNITY. ONE GOAL.

BUILDING A STRONG COMMUNITY TOGETHER

The City of Maple Ridge works closely with many community partners and believes that a strong and united community is the key to enriching every facet of our resident’s day-to-day life and encourages the growth and expansion of all the non-profit and community social service societies. Maple Ridge has a strong, vibrant volunteer community and a number of not-for-profit and community social services organizations that contribute so much to our community.

Here are a few of our partners that help build Maple Ridge and who continue to help make the City prosper. For a list of local charitable organizations visit the Maple Ridge Community Foundation website.
Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association

Business Improvement Association (BIA)

A Business Improvement Association (BIA) is a non-profit organization that represents all businesses and property owners within a specific area. Government legislation permits and guides the steps necessary for a neighborhood to become a BIA. Locally, its creation, operation, business plan and budget must be approved at the municipal level.

BIAs engage, on behalf of all businesses and property owners within the specific area, in matters such as promotion, festivals, crime prevention, security, cleanliness, transportation, parking and advocacy.
The Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber advocates to promote business; monitors municipal, provincial and federal governments; and champions a sustainable business environment.
