Planning a Special Event

Follow the simple steps listed below if you would like to plan a special event in Maple Ridge. For more detailed information about event planning please refer to the Community Event Manual which was created by Parks, Recreation & Culture staff and volunteer special event organizers to help people in the process of planning a special event in Maple Ridge.

Step 1:


Complete the Special Event Application. If you would like to request the event trailer please fill out the Event Trailer Request.

Step 2:


Once you are notified that your event has been approved, you can apply for grants to help fund your event. The Festival Grant Application is meant for major annual community events. The Grassroots Grant Application is meant for smaller scale or first-time events. The Parks, Recreation & Culture Business Plan Template for event organizers is available if you would like assistance developing your event's business plan. 

Step 3:


To help promote your event, you can add it to Parks, Recreation & Culture online event calendar. Visit the event submission page, enter in your event details and submit. Be sure to keep up with other local event news with the CFN Newsletter.
