Complete - April

The Karina LeBlanc Field at Merkley Park is now open for use!

The contractor achieved “substantial performance” in early April, a major milestone for completion on this project. Soon after soccer practices and school classes were taking place on the field with community sports allocation beginning on the weekend. A grand opening event will take place in the near future once a date is confirmed.

Construction Update - October

Construction is back in progress at the Karina LeBlanc Synthetic Field at Merkley Park, after weather delays last week.

The contractor is now installing the last manholes for the storm water system and preparing the field subgrade. Erosion and sediment controls have been increased on the site due to the recent heavy rainfall.
