"I am honoured to have the opportunity to serve on council in these exciting times in Maple Ridge. Please feel free to contact me with your concerns or ideas, I will always be easily accessible."
Born and raised in Vancouver, Bob graduated from Killarney High School, went to Langara College, then studied at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1977.
On returning to Vancouver, he married his high school sweetheart, Sandy, and when he started a family in 1980 they decided to move to Maple Ridge. Since then they have lived in the same home and raised their two sons, now grown. Bob has been very fortunate to have both lived and practiced here in Maple Ridge since they moved here in 1980.
Bob has had the opportunity to serve on numerous boards and committees, both in our community and for his profession. In recent years he has served as the chair of the Safety and Security Committee in downtown Maple Ridge and also as race director for five years for the Vistas Run for Hospice in Maple Ridge.
Maple Ridge is a great community and the same factors of natural abundance and beauty, affordability and proximity to Vancouver continue to draw young families to our community. Our growth will continue, and with that population growth we must manage to find a balance of growth in infrastructure, commerce, amenities, employment and educational opportunity - while at the same time retaining our Maple Ridge lifestyle.
