  2. Children's Clothing Freecycle

    May 26, 2018, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM @ Eric Langton Elementary School

    This is our seventeenth Free Children's Clothing Exchange. Volunteers collect clean, gently-used children's clothing, sort it by size and gender and then on Saturday May 26th the community is welcome to come and choose a selection of clothing for each of their children. Snacks and a reading corner are provided by Kiwanis, Envision Financial and the MRPMK Literacy Committee.

  3. Haney Farmers Market

    Plan your Saturday morning activities around a visit to shop and buy local products at the Haney Farmers Market. Our vendors have a wide range of produce and fruit, eggs, prepared foods, condiments and more. Enjoy lunch at one of our concessions, listen to lively music, bring the children to the Kids Korner table. There is so much to see and do!

  4. Haney Farmers Market Activities

    A Healthier You! Chelsea's Yoga and Youth Wellness will be teaching a free yoga class at the Bandstand at 11:00 AM. Our third Soil to Salad Workshop, "Tomato Talk", will take place at 10:00 AM. It's not too late to register, for FREE! Our Chef at the Market will be Kayliegh from Kale-Liegh's Lunch Box at noon. For the kids, a Mad Hatter tea party will take place in the Kid's Korner. Mike Walters will entertain in the Cafe Corner. There will be a 50/50 draw at noon with tons of prizes to win! Finally, for all our Friends of the Market, it's Member Appreciation Day! Bring your membership card and keep an eye out for special deals put on by participating vendors. It's all happening at Memorial Peace Park Saturday, May 26th from 9-2! See you there!

  6. MEC Century Ride

    Building on the success of our Century Rides over the past four years, we invite you once more to ride with us in 2018. For ony $35 (early bird) you can choose between a 50K or 100K ride that will take you through the scenic country side of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows & Maple Ridge. Participants will experience a fun and welcoming atmosphere complete with complimentary coffee, tea and light snacks.

  7. Vistas Run & Walk

    Celebrating 21 years of bringing community together in the spirit of fundraising and fun! This event has a 10k timed run route, a 5k timed run/walk route and a 4k family walk (dogs on leash welcome) through beautiful Kanaka Creek Regional Park. The Vistas Run & Walk is the single largest fundraiser for the Ridge Meadows Hospice Society. Proceeds provide emotional, compassionate and companion support for individuals with a life-limiting illness or those who are coping with the loss of a loved one.

    It’s time to purchase tickets for our annual gallery fundraiser, TeaGarden! Now in its 6th year, TeaGarden offers ticket holders the opportunity to enjoy tea and treats, and maybe a door prize, in the calming ambiance of our beautiful gallery. This year’s guest speaker is locally based “extreme’ birding expert, Dr. John Reynolds who will take us on a pictorial tour of the summer and winter bird species of this region, with special emphasis on the Maple Ridge area. From the vantage point of some of the most diverse bird territories in British Columbia, you’ll hear about the wide variety of species noted by citizen science projects, from widespread species to those of conservation concern. Dr John D. Reynolds is currently the Tom Buell BC Leadership Chair in Salmon Conservation, Department of Biological Sciences, Simon Fraser University.
