  2. River of Light: Lantern-Making Workshop

    August 22, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ City of Maple Ridge - Artist in Residence Studio

    Join City of Maple Ridge Artist in Residence Robi Smith for a fun and relaxing afternoon of lantern making. Learn how to make a lantern out of simple materials chicken wire, tissue paper, and white glue. The finished lanterns will form a large lantern installation along the Alouette River by Davidson’s Pool over two evenings: August 24 and 25. All workshops are offered free of charge and are drop-in. Come for an hour or join in multiple days. Feel free to bring friends and family members (note: children need to bring an adult along to help with the tricky bits).

    A 4,000 foot climb to beautiful Lake Lovely Water just outside of Squamish, BC. Youth will be guided by Youth Services staff through an unforgettable five day adventure. No access to running water/electricity.
